GREATER SUDBURY (ONTARIO) – May 16, 2022 – There has been a lot of buzz in the francophone community across Ontario and the Franco Ontarian diaspora since this new initiative by Les Concerts la Nuit sur l’étang and the organizing committee of la St Jean Sudbury 2022 was announced recently,
‘’We’ve already received many messages from folks living 5, 6 and 7 hours away who want to attend this historic event,’’ says Marcel Vaillancourt, Les Concerts La Nuit sur l’étang’s director of communications. ‘’We are glad to partner with la St. Jean Sudbury 2022 to offer this unique and intimate concert’’.
This is a meeting of two great friends, Zachary Richard from Louisiana, and Robert Paquette from Montreal via Sudbury. It will be held on June 25th at 8 pm at the Trisac Auditorium at College Boréal in Greater Sudbury.
Both artists perform on the international stage. Richard has recorded 20 albums some of which have gone gold and platinum. Paquette was a trailblazer for Franco-Ontarian artists on the Quebec and International scene. They will present a dozen or so songs all the while talking about how these hits came about. Robert and Zachary will be accompanied by several musicians and the crowd will be seated in a round close to the artists.
