GREATER SUDBURY, March 7, 2022 – Les Concerts la Nuit sur l’étang is happy to divulge their program for the 49th anniversary edition La Nuit sur l’étang. The move comes after two years of reorganizing and repositioning during the COVID shutdown.

The event entitled ‘’En voix d’évasion’’ will take place on Saturday April 2, 2022, at the Trisac Auditorium and the ‘’au pied du Rocher hall’’ at Colllège Boréal in Greater Sudbury at 7:30 p.m. The concert will also be edited and broadcast on the Internet later this spring.

‘’En voix d’évasion’’ will be an escape from the pandemic with francophone artists from Northern Ontario accompanied by a house band: together they will crystallize the elements of our resilience.

Chloé Thériault is hosting the event which will open with the Meagan Bigras/ Zachary Clement duo. They will be followed by Les Bilinguish Boys, consisting of Édouard Landry, Stef Paquette and Dayv Poulin. The evening will culminate with Patricia Cano presenting her original French songs, as well as new arrangements of songs written by her favorite Franco-Ontarian chanteuses. She will be accompanied by a house band under the musical direction of Daniel Bédard with Melissa Schaak and Cristina Masotti on violin, Dick Van Raadshooven on cello, Allan Walsh on wind instruments, Jack Broumpton on drums and percussion, Kevin Barrett on guitar and Luisito Obergoso on percussion, trombone, and vocals.
